projects
These are projects big and small that we've been proud to be part of. PCA are heavily involved in the entire stack of work from conception and design through to delivery and after sales service. Reach out to us today to see how we can help you turn your ideas into reality.
Transfer Station Retaining Wall
We provided interlocking concrete blocks to help a regional city council build retaining walls for a waste transfer station. PCA collaborated on the design, cast the blocks and helped to organise transport to Central Queensland.
Parking Bollards
When daisy chained together, concrete blocks can be a cost effective and efficient way of protecting your assets. Their portability also means they can be relocated if your operational needs change.
Dock Blocks
Noakes Group in Sydney commissioned us to produce concrete blocks to use as support for boats undergoing repair and refurbishment in their dry dock.
Ground Support Tie Down Blocks
These blocks are produced for Brisbane Airport Corporation and Qantas Airways to be used on the tarmac to tie ground support equipment.
Art Gallery Wall Ballast
designcase, a prominent interior design company that specialises in museum and art gallery displays reached out to us for a solution to provide ballast for the interior of temporary gallery walls. We were able to produce and supply 500kg concrete blocks which could be moved into the interior of the walls to provide sufficient weight to stabilise the gallery walls.
Vehicle Parking Deterrents
PCA provided concrete blocks for use as parking bollards to deter illegal and problematic vehicle parking for a Brisbane park which is undergoing refurbishment. PCA was able to product and deliver and organise installation with a local contractor to install 350 of these blocks at the park.
Custom pole foundations
A local theme park required custom concrete bases to securely mount poles which would have advertising banners and guy cables points to attach fairy lights. We were able to work with the client to design and produce a large quantity of these blocks in time for their special event.
Sacrificial Wall for Waste Processing Yard
A Brisbane waste management company required a reinforced concrete wall in their waste processing yard to protect the building structure from unintended impacts from plant and equipment. We provided interlocking blocks that were reinforced with steel and grouting to provide building protection.
Custom block for CCTV Mounting
A techonology company reached out to us for a custom solution for mounting a CCTV pole onto a portable concrete block. They required the hold down bolt assembly to be offset from the centre. We were able to design and produce this product within one week of ordering.
Marquee Anchor Blocks
Our blocks can often be used to provide ballast to prevent marquee and tent blowovers.
Bespoke Seating
We worked with a local landscaping company to design, pour and deliver a set of concrete benches that were installed in a public park in the Logan City Council area.
Christmas Decoration Security
The Prop House used our tie down blocks to secure their outdoor Christmas display. This is definitely one of the more novel applications of our blocks!
Soil Bays
Brisbane City Council used our blocks to install a soil bay at one of their council cemeteries.
Materials Storage Bunkers
These are 5.4m bunkers built using our concrete blocks designed to store material at a waste transfer and recycling facility.
Marquee Anchor Blocks
PCA designed and produced small concrete blocks that were designed to provide anchoring to outdoor marquees used for an event at a local car dealership. The blocks were designed so that they could be easily moved once the event was completed.
Electric Vehicle Charging Stand
Together with Menzies Aviation, we developed a concrete block that was designed to have an EV charging station bolted to it.
Material Separation
Our blocks were used to separate different materials coming off of a screening and crushing plant at a resource recovery facility.
